Marduk

Father of the draconic host of north-eastern Alagend, Marduk is a dragon of the Second-Brood, and son of Nidhogg. The Great Wyrm appeared from the mountains of north-eastern Alagend in the latter portion of the Third Umbral Era. 
It is said that Marduk came to Aethyria nearly 1000 years ago from another world, bearing with him a clutch of eggs. For centuries he remained hidden from the realm, building a home in the mountains, and raising his brood of dragons. When he raised enough to form an army, the Brood of Marduk descended upon the Kingdom of Burmecia, laying waste to the Elezen and Hyur population of the surrounding country-side and sieging the city. The war lasted for nearly 100 years before the Kingdom of Burmecia fell before the draconic host.
Marduk laid claim to the city-state, ending the Dragonsong War with the mortals of the Kingdom being brought to heel. He destroyed the monarchy, and instituted his own reign over the city-state, creating the church of Marduk and the holy orders which worship him and maintain his icy grip on the people of Burmecia.
