Caninfero
A caninfero is a large, dog-like creature.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Caninferii are quite similar to large dogs, but they have scales underneath their fur, and have the ability to "breathe" fire. They do this by expelling a flammable liquid from their mouth, which is ignited by a spark made by something similar to a flint and steel in the caninfero's mouth. The range of this is about seven feet.
Genetics and Reproduction
Caninferii reproduce sexually, and are viviparous. Their gestation period is four months. They are typically born one or two at a time.
Ecology and Habitats
Caninferii typically live in volcanic areas, and have a high heat tolerance and moderate fire resistance.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Caninferii are carnivorous, and are somewhat adaptable.
