Spell-molds

A spell-mold is an object with magical symbols permanently affixed to it, usually through engraving or embroidering.

Utility

Spell-molds serve the purpose of making a particular spell easy to quickly and repeatedly cast. They are usually a piece of apparel or a small, portable object, such as a wand. Some mages also have spell-molds in or on their floors or walls. It is rare, but not unheard of, for a mage to make their own body into a spell-mold, usually through tattoos.

Manufacturing

Creating a spell-mold is quite simple. All you need to do is put magical symbols on something in a way that is permanent.

Access & Availability

Simple spell-molds are somewhat common, but the more complex they are, the rarer and more expensive they are.
