Aevrosi Concord

The Aevrosi Concord is a political alliance between the formerly Imperial territories of the Midlands, Bravencia, Calbreón, Patuga, Angia, Wexon, and Brichland. The alliance is effectively a declaration of independence by each of these territories from the Empire in response to the recent increase in Imperial tariffs, as well as a new brutal taxation policy in order to fund the regent's "Dwarven Wars." These are the official reasons as stated in the Treaty of Carnache--signed 20 Jaro, 977--but many believe it to be the raw political ambition of Duchess Beata of the Midlands, who is the mastermind and unofficial leader of the uprising. The document by its nature is a passive-aggressive declaration of war against the Empire, but the treaty does not clearly state whether the participating territories intend remain united under a single banner after the civil war, or if they all intend to split into separate sovereign kingdoms.
