Hügelwald is a large walled town positioned like a castle upon a fortified rocky hill, jutting out above the sprawling forest below. The River Geite wraps around he southwestern part of town, flanking the town walls and continuing down the mountainside. The community originally served as an inlet to the rocky trails that ascend into the upper foothills where highly valued Koprek iron is mined. The town itself is a dense maze of gray, blue and green colored

roofs, steep front-gabled buildings, half-timbered, and painted shades of weathered red, yellow, green, blue, orange, and white. Towering above the rest of the buildings is a clocktower near the center of town, rivaled by a nearby bell tower that adjoins the large Temple of St. Holda.
