Port Shuri

Baked Goods Capital

The delicious smell of baked goods can be smelled before the town is even in sight. Mouthwatering cakes and bread lie in the shop windows, ready to be devoured. But what should you choose?
Every second shop in town is a bakery of some kind, whether it is one that specializes in bread, pastries or cake, the town is littered with them. Most are old family shops that the younger generations inherit when the times is right.   Old traditions are proudly held in the town, and many still make bread the old ways. Competition between families has always been a thing in Port Shuri, but over the last decade or so, the completion has quieted down a lot. Most in town recognise the importance of them working together, and attracting customers from around the world.     No advertisement was necessary as nothing is better than the talks amongst people, and the town only relies on people spreading the word - and also the wonderful smell in the air surrounding the town.

Trade routes

Because of the great positioning of the town, a large number of boats and ships visits the town every day. Countless of trade routes have been established, just to send their great goods to other towns - but here the competition is gone as the baked goods are sold as Port Shuri Goods and not their individual bakery names.   People love their baking so much that they travel to the town just to see the many bakeries and the great people that make the goods they enjoy so much. The economy is booming, and anyone living in Port Shuri benefits from the baking.   Baking has put the rather small town on the map, and the inhabitants are extremely proud, to say the least.
