Solid blood disease

A common carrier of this horrible disease is the Moss Snail, which isn't affected by the disease themselves. Moss snails seem like any other snail; rather harmless. But this snail has a tendency to have a darks and deadly baggage with them, carrying it around without even knowing it - but even if they could comprehend all of this they probably wouldn't care to be fair, they'd just go about living their best snail life, whatever that entails.

Infection

Moss snails natural habitat is normally in damp and swampy areas, with lots of rain and humidity. They like the wet environment and prefers places with small lakes or ponds. The disease transfers by touch, and it only needs to touch another subject for a second or two before the disease is transferred.   Luckily, the snail leaves a small mark on the skin that looks like a small rash and might even sting for a bit. This is the only warning most of the infected get. If it isn't noticed in the first 24-36 hours from when the contact happened, the rash will fade, and other symptoms might take weeks to show up.   When the infected begin to feel lightheaded, short of breath, or loss of feeling in limbs, it might already be too late to save them from imminent death.

When is it too late?

The first symptom is the rash that appears in one spot, often on arms or legs. If there is only one spot with it, and you have visited a humid and swampy area within the last 24 hours, the chances are pretty high that you've been infected with Solid blood disease.   Well! Not to panic! - not yet at least. Because if you've already noticed you're infected you will probably survive. The cure for Solid Blood disease is in the form of a liquid potion that the Institute of Healing produces and distributes, and you have a 99.9% chance of survival.   If you suddenly have some of the later stage symptoms without you noticing a rash, you should definitely panic a bit more now. This is a sign that the disease has progressed a lot, and you are in danger of losing a limb or two - but survival is still a possible outcome.

The cure

A magic healing potion like many others developed by the Institute of Healing, is easy to get a hold of. To get the full intended effect, which is in this case survival, is only achieved if the potion is injected straight into the veins.   But the later you notice the symptoms the smaller are the chances of survival. The disease itself makes your blood slowly clot together, and you will begin to get blood clots all around your body, starting in the smaller more narrow veins. This is how you end up losing a leg or an arm (or other bodyparts). But blood clots can get stuck in the brain, the heart, the lungs or other vital organs, so it is extremely important the disease is noticed before signs of these symptoms.
