Nordborne

Hailing from the Northern reaches of Kiojafell, the Nordborne are the only Humans that have remained completely independent of the Republic of Soren. They are a resilient and aloof descendant of Humans that share common goals of security and cooperation and nothing else. The Nordbourne linage began as one of Grand Soren's first unsuccessful colonies. Soon after the North's colonization, the colonists received little to no aid from the Republic of Soren, and suffered because of it. The colonists grew tired of facing the terrible hardships of the cold climate and monster infested mountainous terrain alone. It was then that the first council of leaders representing the newly established Northern Confederacy was held. The fractured and independent Human colonies of the North were finally united towards a common goal of establishing a home in Kjioafell. Over thousands of years the denizens of Kjioafell have become cold and callous towards anyone but the now liberated Halfling slaves that went through their struggle alongside them.

The Nordborne now work closely together with their former Halfling slaves, now considering each other brethren. Their communities and governments are loosely held together by the Northern Confederacy an agreement by all states of the North to work towards each others security and stability, guided by the Northern Council of Elders.
