House Argentier

House Argentier belongs to the oldest ruling houses in Morvathia - and is one of the wealthiest on top. They hold great influence over the banks and trade routes of Morvathia, coming from a long line of merchants and bankers even before the Age of Witches. Renowned for their shrewdness and calculating nature in business dealings, the members fiercely compete with each other for power and recognition from the house leader, Count Aymer Argentier. With their deep understanding of finance, economics, and accounting, the Argentiers skillfully navigate the intricate web of trade and money lending.
Witches of Greed
In addition to their financial prowess, the family possesses the rare ability to manipulate the minds of others and expertly wield illusionary witchcraft. Whispers suggest they use these powers to gain more power and wealth, but few dare to accuse them directly. Their position as the dominant force in Morvathia's banking industry has given them an almost untouchable status. Who ever needs coin comes to the Argentier's first and a few houses are rumoured to be in their depth to them.   The Argentiers are also known as avid collectors of rare and valuable objects, especially those associated with power or magic, many of which are kept in a heavily guarded vault beneath Guland's Crown.
Blood for Profit
Despite their reputation for ruthlessness and manipulation, House Argentier fiercely protects their family members and goes to great lengths to ensure their safety and security. They rule the city of Guland's Crown with an iron fist, enforcing strict regulations on the city's trading houses and guilds, often taking a cut of their profits in exchange for their protection.

Coat of Arms of House Argentier by Hatwolf
"With their wealth and cunning, House Argentier reminds me a greedy dragon hoarding its treasures - I know a few of that sort. However, their expertise in manipulation and illusion magic sets them apart from the average witch. I wonder what secrets lie within that vault of theirs. For surely such a family must have accumulated many rare and powerful objects over the years. What would I give to get a peek..."
