The devastating scourge of Bloodrot has taken a heavy toll on the ranks of the first witches of the Liberation, but its most profound impact is felt within the halls of House Thraex. Among all the houses, their members had been more carelessly and frequently infused with demon blood during the war. As the sickness claims the lives of House Thraex's leaders, a weighty responsibility fell upon the young shoulders of Cillian Thraex.

However, the challenges do not end there. Queen Brynhild Argentier begins to question House Thraex's ability to effectively lead the county of Trachholt. Amid the growing concerns, the ruling houses conduct a vote, and the decision is reached to demote House Thraex to a minor house. The county of Trachholt is merged with Guland, and is granted to the rule of House Argentier, consolidating their power within the realm.
