✦Welcome to the final frontier of humanity!✦

Over the past one-hundred years, scientists have researched the possibility of a potential asteroid impact on planet Earth that could prove detrimental. The most harrowing discovery, however, was the fact that the probability of this impact was astronomically high. As climate change, war, and political strife ravished the planet governments and the scientific community formed a coalition to focus on the advancement of humanity. This coalition, known as The League for the Advancement of Humankind (L.A.H), was formed by scientists from all major world nations with support of various governments and space-technology corporations to develop technology in order to advance Earth beyond its current state. Technology had been rapidly advancing, and the L.A.H was determined to take humans off planet, "to expand humanity beyond its bounds and secure the future of our species." By developing these off-planet colonies or space-structures, the L.A.H planned to prepare humanity for such an event. The scientific community held out hope, of course, that the sheer entropy of the universe would hold out in Earth's favor.

Humans had set foot on the moon over two-hundred years ago, and one-hundred fifty years ago they first set foot on Mars. Founded in 2080, the L.A.H have tirelessly worked to continue humanity's legacy. To advance humanity off planet, in 2085, they sent men to colonize Mars. The world cheered, but all had failed: Mars proved to be unsustainable to life and the technology failed. To change course of their future, and to redeem for the loss of life, the L.A.H spent the next seventy years developing another method for interstellar civilization. With the help of many different space-technology organizations, L.A.H developed the first possible inhabitable biospheres.

Around 2150, the technology we dreamed about for years finally became a reality. With advancements in quantum physics, we had found alternative power sources and advanced space-travel as a whole.
Now, in 2185, it's safe to say we've found solace in our new home away from Earth. The Earth is the past, and the future is now. We must look forward to a bountiful and bright future!
