Totalitary City-Ship

The stuff of nightmares...   Only seen on Earth once before in the ancient past, one of these immense vessels is terrifying enough, dozens could easily spell the end of the world. Even when the Thangien war-host was forced to retreat, somehow the ancient Ronin Warriors of that era led by Hai-Riyo the Sun Emperor managed to down multitudes of such craft, their incredible powers disintegrating them so thoroughly no wreckage survived. The Ronin of the present day know they will be forced to face the Totalitary once again in the End Tide prophecy, but so far all they know of these craft comes from memories and visions of the haunted past.

"Hold on a minute!" Kento backtracked and stalked back over to Rowen and loomed over him, pointing at his implant-riddled face with a claw. "How can we be so sure this isn't just a trick to get us to blow ourselves up?" Rowen squeezed his eyes shut and pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation.   "Kento...if I was one of the bad guys...why would I give you detailed instructions how to destroy my own ship?" he argued.   "...good point!" Kento nodded and snapped his fingers, pointing at Rowen again and clicking his teeth before running back towards the open door. Ryo moved to follow but paused and stepped over to Rowen.   "Rowen...promise me you'll come back in one piece," he urged. Rowen stared at him solemnly before averting his gaze.   "What's left of me at least..." he replied grimly.
According to Cye's vision, such vessels have a central power core that if damaged can unleash a devastating chain reaction.

Propulsion

City-ships have no visible thrusters and seem to utilize internal gravity drives, eerily floating above the surface. The only dust, steam, or smoke shrouding them is caused by their mere presence as they displace the air around them.

Weapons & Armament

According to Sage's vision, city-ships can deploy devestating energy weapons from all sides. One such weapon is able to kill Raurgoth with ease.

Sage tilted his gaze up and his eyes widened in horror when he saw the sky.   Dozens and dozens of round circular structures stretched far into the horizon; ships as wide across as entire cities.

Armor and defense

Rather than expend energy on shields, city-ships seem to use multiple layers of near-impregnable metal armor. Their size and complexity so mindboggling it is easy for attackers to get lost in its interior. Drones are typically dispatched to engage intruders.   Ronin WarriorSpectra
"As we draw closer to Entide, you should know the Enemy you will face." Thranctipo stated as she uploaded data to the console. Images came up on screen of various types of metallic beings. "Not all drones appear identical or function the same. Much as we Reptilloids are now, they are separated by speciality and appearance."   "You know in the ancient past humans mistook them for yokai. Maybe we should go by similar naming conventions now?" Ryo suggested.   "This one is proficient at infiltration and subversion of systems and networks, much like we technicians," Thranctipo nodded at the image of a slender humanoid figure with a visor in place of eyes and what looked like multiple cables trailing out from its back like tails. It sported sharp protrusions on its head giving the appearance of peaked ears.   "What do you think, Kitsune?" Rowen asked Sage, who nodded. The next image came up of a menacing hulking figure.   "Much like the Silver Spikers, these are front-line shocktroops designed to break the lines and morale of their foes."   "Oh definately Oni, hands down..." Ryo muttered, noticing the multiple lenses on its head and horn-like antennae.   "These are smaller combat units designed for close-range aerial combat..." Thranctipo summoned an image of a lithe figure with long spindly fingers like claws and pincer-like toes. Folded metal wings adorned its back.   "I'd say Tengu..." Sage quipped. Thranctipo pulled up another image of an almost portly-looking drone with large limbs.   "...I'm actually not sure about this one...What's with those spheres near its waist?"   "They are demolitionists, carrying on their persons heavy ordinance for use against land vehicles."   "We can call them Tanuki!" Kento quipped and grinned cheerfully. Cye let out a muffled snicker and Ryo elbowed him sharply, scowling. Thranctipo looked confused by their antics.

Additional & auxiliary systems

City-ships are named such not only for their awesome size and appearance, but their ability to apparently "unfold" upon setting down on the ground. The facility Cye enters in his vision in Foes From Another World Ch. 1 "The Last Ronin Warrior" is such a vessel, having expanded and set up infrastructure within a matter of days.

Hangars & docked vessels

Raurgoth pried the hangar doors back open just as they were half-way shut. The servos sparked in protest under the dragon's strength. Drones on nearby walkways scrambled away as the titan hauled himself into the cavity and trudged inside. It looked big enough for him to stand at full height with room to spare. He lowered his left wing-limb to a walkway and allowed the Ronin to disembark. In the distance they could see drones returning armed with energy rifles of some sort. Raurgoth turned to look at Ryo. "Go nuts!" Ryo shouted and lashed one arm up absently before running to follow the others.   Raurgoth made full use of the space by lashing his tail to the side, crushing parked tri-wings like soda cans. One drone taking potshots at him from a walkway found itself squished into the wall when Raurgoth plowed his enormous scaly fist into it, the broken arms and legs poking out from around Raurgoth's fingers comically. Raurgoth waited until the Ronin had entered a corridor and fully exited the hangar before swinging his neck to one side and belching a stream of fire that sprayed the walkways like a firehose. He craned his head around, spewing fire in a 90-degree angle, just barely missing the door as it slid shut.
Even Talpa’s fearsome Nether Spirits fled from the looming city-ships. Then a huge crackling shaft of darkness plowed through the city-ship, widening and ripping it apart from the inside out. Metallic wreckage rained towards the ground through the overcast sky, but the darkness did not stop at obliterating the remaining city-ships and their tri-wing squadrons.

Capitalizing on what peaceful downtime they have between battles, the Ronin spend time with their respective loved ones, anticipating the day when Entide finally arrives.

Greytorata stood alone in the carved stone hall. She faced a large sequence of drawings depicting a chaotic battlefield: a dragon being shot through the heart, an immense sky vessel breaking in half, an army of shadows rushing into the fray, shambling stiff figures rushing forth to engage them, and above everything, colossal discs like upended cities looming in the sky.
