Colorful threads

Molten metal swirled inside of a colorless cauldron.
The smith turned the valve, slowly tilting it.
The mass started to flow through the canals and spilling into a long and narrow cast.
Then, the process of cooling has begun.
Once the metal was cool, the smith started to put it on the coil.
The only thing left to do was to dye it according to the wishes of the client.
— Creation of the coil of the Colorful threads.
Without the process of refining, Sponge iron would be almost completely useless material, serving only to absorb Colors from other materials.
However, once it is processed into a coil of cable and then dyed, it is the one material that revolutionized the process of Color embroidery. Contrary to other materials, using the colorful threads instead of other types of threads gives way better results with a lesser chance of the side effects or Color poisoning.

Properties

Physical & Chemical Properties

Before the process of dyeing, colorful threads have the same properties as the material they are made out of, sponge iron.
When anything containing Colors comes in contact with them, they start to absorb said Color and gaining its properties. Usually, without knowing the right patterns to form them into, they can bring more harm than benefit.
Origin
Sponge iron
Color
Silver in their natural form, any color after absorption/process of dyeing
Value
During the Age of Witches, the value of the colorful threads dropped dramatically, mostly thanks to the discovery of big deposits of sponge iron and increased production of pigments.
Use
Creation of clothing that has magical properties, depending on the Colors and patterns used. This technology completely replaced the use of armor.
Hazards
As it is with all work with the Colors, those who manage the process of dyeing need to watch out for the amounts of Colors their bodies absorb. Not following the safety protocols and regular cleansing of the body can result in suffering from the Oversaturation (condition), and even death.
