House of Monochrome

The belief in Six Monochromes is the most popular religion on the entire Urnketh. It's no wonder that the churches related to this faith can be seen in every city and even most of the villages. And although most of the big cities have enough place and money to build a place of worship for every one of the Six, most only have a single House of Monochrome, a church where one can pray to all of the gods.

Generic from outside...

Most of the churches, seen from the outside, look very similar to the buildings surrounding them. The architectonic style used to build them isn't consistent across the cities, so usually, the only thing that differentiates them is the bell tower that's taller than the roofs in the area and banners or flags with holy symbols placed on its walls.

...And magnificent inside

From the moment one takes the first step into the building, they can see that the house of Monochrome is a special place. The floor of the main nave is divided into six parts, each painted with or made out of materials representing different Color. The walls of the building are usually neutral - left with the normal color of the material they are made out of. To prevent them from looking "boring", they often are covered with various religious painting or windows with stained glass, that mostly depicts the Six or various holy warriors who followed their teachings.   As one passes the rows of pews, they get closer to the altar, a block made out of the wood, stone or metal, decorated with the symbol of the Six Monochromes. Behind it, each of the colorful parts of the floor leads to a small nave, where a symbol of the god related to the Color is placed.

6+1 masses

For the six out of seven days of the week, one can visit the church to be a witness to the mass to one of the six gods. During those days, the altar is covered with cloth of the Color of the patron god of the day and their holy symbol is placed on it.
Big churches can have priests for each of the six gods, but for most, only one or two live there and conduct faith-based services.
The seventh day of the week is the day when all of the six gods are celebrated at once. It's the day when people get married, children are baptized and their future is foretold, using colorful sticks, and the 7th mass takes place.
