History

Ogem is the homeworld of the near-Human Ogemite species. It is a busy trade world that generally avoids involvement in galactic politics. Ogemite males tend to become traders. Very few females became traders, and inheritances pass from father to son unless the family has no male child. The Ogemites have attempted to negotiate trade agreements with the more progressive families of the nearby Juvex sector. Diplomatic efforts are gaining steam to push Ogem into shedding its political neutrality and have it side with the Rebel Alliance, now that the Galactic Empire's credit is becoming overextended. Rebel forces from Echo Company of the 2nd Battalion, 31st Regiment have set up a covert barracks/headquarters on the planet.
