A "pickled punk" is the carnival term for a medical curiosity, typically an anomalous fetus or other such medical oddities, animated with necromantic energy but kept preserved in an embalming jar. The non-undead version of the infamous undead exhibit in medical colleges and schools of scientific research, but the undead specimens are known for their combustibility and nauseating fumes.

Several such punks were discovered in the basement of the Dreaming Palace, but were dispatched by Edgewatch.
