Dormount Union

Formerly seen as a sister state to Mallowhurst, the Knightly Order of Dormount rose in power and recognition as an essential foreign legion for the Empire, back before complacency was common. As a result of their dutiful service to the Empire, the Order was awarded lands to the southwest, around Sunhollow. Having Sunhollow as the historic home of the Dormount Order, they expanded their realm by absorbing neighboring free lands and a number of fledgling counties to form their modern borders. Having little experience or interest in governance (the order naturally prefers martial abilities), a number of regional Unions and Guilds were instituted to regulate management. This is a largely decentralized state, where corruption and crime run rampant where the reach of the Order’s Domestic Constabulary cannot be sustained.
