Meotzar, Terror of Easterwall

Meotzar is said to be a large shelled creature that roams the wetlands of Easterwall, though there are unconfirmed sightings even as far west as the Free Holds. Not a lot is known about Meotzar as most all evidence of its existence is found through desecrated remains of those who wonder too deep into the Swamplands. The evidence so far has pointed to the following generally accepted descriptions of the beast:

• It is assumed to be around 35 feet tall
• Charred remains of bodies suggest the beast to be capable of some sort of control of fire
• Reports from nearby villages in several different independent occasions suggest that the creature emits a large cat-like roar, presumably when angered
• Analysis of destroyed villages suggest the beast has large claw like arms and legs and is able to leap very large distances
• Trees nearby the scene of attacks have reportedly large amounts of a cat like fur on them as well as large gashes in them suggesting the shell of the beast is spiked
• The creature's lifespan, species, habitat, diet, breeding methods and motives for attack are all unknown

As of now multiple villages in Eastwall as well as multiple private institutions have pulled money to give to anyone brave (or naive) enough to try to hunt the beast. There is a 30 platinum prize for anyone proven to have hunted the beast and many institutions have competing prizes for information about the beast. Some local village elders and foreign lords will pay anyone handsomely who can tame the beast and give it to them, though this task now seems highly unlikely.
