Agodale

The world of Agodale is ruled over by many powerful ancient dragons, with the exception of the Free Cities. Some are well-loved, benevolent rulers, while others are merciless tyrants only seeking power. The world is separated into three major regions. The Chromatic Kingdoms, the Metallic Dominion, and The Free Cities The Reckoning was a huge war between many major deities and power-hungry dragons looking to gain a power of unknown capabilities. Looking to keep the dragons power in check, the gods allied together alongside the original elves to fight the dragons. Not all dragons sought this power. The war ensued for many months. Eventually, a year went by, and the elves had managed to find a way to stop the dragons from ever gaining the power they so desired. Nobody alive today claims to know how the elves managed to seal away such a power. The world has lived in relative peace after the reckoning for almost 500 years, but the year is now 491 A.R., and a kingdom within the metallic dominion has adopted democracy to have a popular vote for their new leader. The Peaks of Kervia have elected the first humanoid in Agodale's history to rule. Torglia Stonefist, a female dwarf, has been elected Khan. Ruler of the Peaks Vraxis, the black dragon and Sovereign of The Vile Bog, has made a declaration of war against The Peaks of Kervia unless they elect a Khan of proper dragon descent. The world was in a Cold War state for almost 8 months until the first attack. On the day of Torglia Stonefist's inauguration, Balagos and The Ember Isles made their allegiance known. Balagos, accompanied by a group of his strongest soldiers, had been invited to Kervia to witness the historic event. Instead, Balagos and his Flaming Legion betrayed that trust, dealing a devistating blow to the Peaks of Kervia. Thousands lost their lives in the attack, but without the help of a small group of adventurers known as The Red Thorns, it would have been much worse. Tensions were high in Kervia with a non-Draconic ruler on the horizon, but now the country is in disarray. Many are uncertain if this will be the beginning of the end for another founding country. One thing is certain, though. The third Wrymwar has officially begun.
