Minerva

At the point of her creation during the endless conflicts between Hydaelyn and Zodiark, Minerva was a being that represented the result of the unstable combination of the two great opposing forces, taking on the portfolio of balance, time and space. Over time, this sense of balance between clashing and opposing forces would also come to expand her divine portfolio to both magic and nobility.   Minerva's associations with both magic and nobility suggest that each is something produced by or embodied in the balancing between opposing forces of energy. With magic, it is the fusing together of oppositional aetheric forces which gives rise to what is understood as magic. Similarly, the association with nobility is often understood through what can be or ought to be produced through seemingly oppositional forces coming together: compromise and balance. As such, Minerva's symbology tends to find its way into the crests of various noble houses as well as scholastic organisations although Temples devoted to Minerva herself are rare throughout the world. Unlike many of the lesser gods, and more in line with Zodiark, Minerva is a distant goddess, her machinations and plans beyond the comprehension of mortal beings. Whilst her influence is felt across the world in both the passage of time and the force of magic itself, her interventions are not directly forthcoming.
