Shiva, The Glacian
(a.k.a. The Empress of Ice, Ice Queen, Goddess of Ice)
Shiva is the goddess of Beauty, Children, Cold, Compassion, Ice, Love, Protection. She is considered to be the caretaker of sentient beings and created in their image. Shiva is often depicted as either Elvaan or Hume, or sometimes an ambiguous woman resembling elements of both, although Shiva’s design is mostly of a blue-skinned woman. She often makes trips to her followers, giving them guidance and assistance, even aiding within needless wars against her worshipers. Alongside Ifrit and Ramuh, Shiva is one of the first to intervene when great threats approach their creations, holding a sort of truce among the deities to sort out the issues plaguing their lands. As a being of ice, she is directly opposed to Ifrit, if a bit more lenient than her fiery brother.
Showing herself within a medium to huge woman of blue skin, Shiva is mostly covered in, or created by, ice. She normally forms out of nearby ice, or freezes nearby bodies of water in which she emerges. She also has the ability to shapeshift into a hume form to converse with sentient beings in secret.
Shiva is often worshipped or praised in her more maternal aspects through the aetheric tradition, being understood by many to be a kind of embodiment of a maternal and caring kind of femininity. However, more war-like aspects of Shiva, where she appears as the same beautiful blue-skinned woman yet wielding a sword and platinum armour (often encased in diamond-like icicles).
She is also widely worshipped amongst artists through her association with beauty and passion and those who might seek inspiration in their craft might give small offerings to The Ice Queen.

Holy Books & Codes
Shiva's worshippers historically have produced much less written literature in the form of a primary holy text. Instead, the Temples devoted to Shiva are more famous for their recording of history and teaching through great tapestries and works of art. One such tapestry is the Tapestry of the warring triad, a depiction of the numerous ancient skirmishes between Ramuh, Ifrit and Shiva, whose varied rivalries in the Age of Dreams were the subject of many myths and legends.
