Balmarix
A tough and attentive wizard who keeps things running in Dullar. He's one of the bronze dragons, and he's clearly Tessiture's son, with similar talents, similar ways of speaking, the opposite taste in music, and the opposite demeanor. He's blunt, headstrong, and always on the move. He likes to brag, often on others' behalf.
“Yeah, Dullar doesn’t have a lot of wizards, so we end up working together a lot. We’re not great friends, but...well, let me put it this way. We get into arguments. Like, with the dragon. He could literally bite my head off, and more than once I've actually screamed in his face. And I'm not a brave guy. "So, I guess if I had to describe him...well, not everyone likes him, you probably won't, but you can always trust him. Ten years and I’ve never once seen him lose his wits.”Balmarix is usually too busy to leave Dullar and see anyone but the same people every day. He's been cagey and lonely for a while, though he hates for his concerns to be so grossly simplified. He greets strangers with an unpracticed friendliness and doesn't always seem comfortable being as abrasive as usual. Developments - Act I
Any conversation about Loambosk is over before it begins. She's beyond help. She's dead. The closer she gets, the more he and his family are in danger. His sister Venellorix won't stop making excuses for her, pointing out every little courtesy by which she's spared the people of Dullar. Ven and Bosk seem to share a love of those stupid chivalric fables where soldiers forge respect and friendship with their enemies. It's all Balmarix can do to keep her away.
Loambosk is stubborn and unpleasant, she thinks she's a lot more complicated than she is, and Venellorix idolizes her for no apparent reason. She's what Balmarix is and hates. He can only hope that she's as upset about him as he is about her, but most likely, she barely even knows who he is.
