Imbre is best known for its great musicians and composers, whether they're freelance sophists or part of the Imbrean Royal Orchestra. The relationship between amateurs and professionals is deeply important to the city's chemistry: Imbre has both the deepest classical traditions and the fastest progress in new forms and media of music.
Since Imbre was captured and pillaged by Ornity, many of the city's great players have scattered, and many experiments left incomplete.
