Alexandra Prydywn "The Ever Thief"

…In this issue we cover a fan favorite. One to many who enjoy the stories of the rich and powerful getting knocked down a peg and a folk hero of the Merfolk. That’s right this issue we are diving into Alexandra Prydwyn also known as The Ever Thief. Reports vary slightly, but all make note of a elven, half elf, or tall human woman with pale skin and short black hair. She is always stated to be dressed in ashen black leathers with blue-black feathers along her shoulders and back which hang down to her thighs…   …That is along with the flamboyance in which she leaves her notes. For the few people who have been confirmed to have spent time with her, such as Zander, Sharik, and Locke, she appears to have a teasing and charming personality. Though Zander feels its all an act while Locke described her as being a nice woman with a bad judge of character. Sharik did not respond to our questioning and no written report of him talking about it could be found. Each empress of the Merfolk also claims to have spoken with her at least once in their lives, but we have no proof of this that our skilled and trusted journalists could find…   …and that’s not even the last story one would find about her exploits over the years. In fact, Crypto Magus Victoria Bethrom theorizes that The Ever Thief’s longevity is due to her being a vampire rather than an elf. How about that? It could fit. The first vampire was found and killed before her first recorded sighting. Good thing she seems too nice, in a way, or else the thieving might turn into something much bloodier…   …and that’s this publications theory as to her actions. Being a master thief, she spends decades looking for and then learning of her target before striking. Making smaller thefts along the way, but leaving the big one for once every hundred years or so…   …As for the apparent soft spot for the Merfolk, once again, we turn to Crypto Magus Victoria Bethrom for a possible answer.   “You see while the vampire theory is possible, there is also the possibility that she used some sort of cloning magic and we know that the sea glass made by the Merfolk is the best enchantment material around. She has made a deal with the Silver Tale company. Why not a crown?”   You read it here first folks. Have you met this legendary thief? If you have lets hope it was on good terms…   -Experts from Cryptids Quarterly Volume 35: The Shadow Over Time, by Carter Kinglan
