Archon Tenebris

History

…as was written all dragons are innately magical by their very nature. Some mythologies say that the first sorcerer was a half bread of a dragon and elf. None of the Rulers embody this aspect of dragons more than Tenebris. Perhaps the Archon with the most names of which I feel Archmage of Dragons to be, while a bit on the nose, the most appropriate. He has declared that all beings who can naturally cast magic no matter the race do in fact trace their blood back to him and as such are part of his brood. This would technically give him the largest brood of any Archon by several orders of magnitude. While such a claim is unproven and most likely just the boosting of a powerful being it should be noted that angelic mythology states they learned some of their magics from a, and I quote, “Horned Magister of the Scaled.” Perhaps one day we will find his claim to be true…

Anatomy

…Scales from this creature have a level of Azoth toxicity that will kill non-arcane beings if they merely touch it. Even most sorcerers feel light-headed after handling it without gloves. The only people who seem to be able to handle scales of Tenebris without worry are Dragon blooded Sorcerers. For those skilled enough to handle such an object powerful arcane engines can be fueled with it. Its said most of the Gnomish capital runs off the energy from just a handful of scales left over from the first dragon war. Rumor has it that the upcoming Umbra University is going to be using a scale in its construction…
