Personal history

Kalein Vestra should have been entering his second year at Silverymoon's School for Adept Scholars when he was enlisted to help in the war as a navigator. His year of studies covered history, magical theory, and cartography, which would generally be far from what an acolyte needed to assist in war efforts, but the world was quickly falling into chaos, and desperate times called for desperate measures.

Despite his shortcomings and self doubt, Kalein was excited to be assisting a famed cartographer and navigator, an older elf who was well known by the elven nobles. Unfortunately, the navigator and his team fell in a fireball attack and Kalein became stranded with the support tents on the fringe of the battlefield, unable to help and unable to reach for his dreams.
