Personal history
Oh strength, yah, I never had much. My mother was bulky, she would kill a goat with her bare hands! But who knows what slender man made gave me these thinner arms. From what I was told, nobody bothered to ask, and my mother didn't have the guts to say. In the end, she died before I could know of some disease...I know someone invoked Yurtrus powers against her for her mistake! And then, what was I supposed to do? I stayed around the tribe. I'd help when we traveled across the forest as I could, but the old Maab was the only one actually looking at me. I'd stay with her as she cooked for everyone, and even help her here and there... but I'd rather have the meat raw anyways!
Well then came the day we were dispatched. You know, we all have to do it to become men: leave the tribe and survive in the middle of winter with nothing. For those who come back, Gruumsh decides if it was enough, or if you were still a child who had to do it again the next year! So I did, and I ran and ran in the snow until I could not feel my feet anymore, and I entered a cave. Of course I was scared! I thought I'd freeze to death. But I had to prove I was a man. It was cold and dark, and I was almost losing my senses as I tried to sleep, when I felt something warm and bright: as I opened my eyes, there was fire coming out of my hands! I learned to control it, so that fire kept me warm that night, and all other nights of the winter. I didn't know what it was, but I was thankful for that.
A few days in, I was starving in that cave, and an animal decided he wanted to take the cave from me. It was a very big wolf, that growled and jumped to attack me. As I tried to cover myself, somehow my hands became claws that digged in its throat! I didn't know what to do! So I kept clawing and clawing, until the wolf was dead. That meat kept me alive for quite a while. And with those claws I could hunt for myself later.
That year, I was the only one to come back, of all four of us dispatched. When I came back, the first flowers of spring were appearing. The old shaman Inhartu looked into my eyes, and said that the gods had chosen me. And everyone saw that it was true. So he shaved my head, and started teaching me in the ways of gods, to serve Luthic and Gruumsh above all. I gave up arms to fight only with Gruumsh fire and Luthic's claws, and started keeping their blessings upon our warriors.
A few years later, those first weird constructs appeared! We kept them out of our forests for quite a while, but they were too many and they started burning it! When we saw the forest, we wanted to kill the men behind those metal devils! But then we saw they were being killed too! Ahhh silly men, always creating what they can't control! So we joined the fight with them...
