Though short, Tharn is all muscle. Many would describe him as a collection of barrels all held together by snark and ale.

Tharn sports a long reddish-brown beard to match his hair. He always has a minimum of two braids, decorated with small metal findings at the tips.

Tharn's head is slightly misshapen, from a rock fall in a mine at a young age, he thinks.

Wears simple and efficient leather and cloth gear. Tharn is never seen without his tool belt and often has a pouch of ore nuggets he treats like salt licks.

Personal history

Tharn Zytka grew up working the mines, just like his mother and father before him, and their mothers and fathers before them. While some might think a miner would want to strive to be a smith of some kind, the Zytka clan was proud of the ore they produced and enjoyed working the land and the caves to find the very best material.

Tharn himself was very talented at locating ore veins where most could not. He is a hard worker and refuses to let anyone show up his work. Rather than rest, Tharn prefers to work long hours and finds a thrill in pushing himself to set new records every day.

When his clan was called upon to assist in the war as soldiers instead of as suppliers, Tharn knew this was a moment of desperation and the final stretch of the long war. He was proud to take up an axe, but had expected to die on the battlefield.
