Gunnel Rockseeker
Mining entrepreneur, surveyor, and well-meaning opportunist. This shield dwarf discovered the location of the lost mine of Phandelver, located in the Wave Echo Cave outside Phandalin. She enlisted the aid of the Fate Watchers, after first being rescued from a kidnapping and briefly died at the hands of Declan, to scout out the cave.
The cave cleared, it turns out one of Gunnel's brothers, Tharden Rockseeker, had been killed before getting fat into the tunnels. Nundro Rockseeker, Gunnel's other brother, had managed to survive but was in practice captured by the man calling himself The Spider and thus freed by the Fate Watchers.
Since then, Gunnel has established Rockseeker Mines, based in Phandalin and using the possibilities to create magic items in the now reopened Phandelver mine.
