Triboar
Triboar is town where the Long Road intersects Evermoor Way as the latter continues to Yartar, Triboar's traditional rival in most things.
There is also a much smaller toad, Triboar Trail, heading west towards the High Road, passing between Neverwinter Wood and Phandalin on the way.
Its name is thought to reflect a traveller's tale of killing three boars on the same day. The lord protector's banner consist of three black boars on a red background.
Demographics
Almost entirely human but with a wide variety of ethnicities. Halflings are the second most common race, but not even they are around in abundance.
Government
A democratically elected Lord Protector oversees everything that is part of the government, including the town's defences.
Defences
The town operates a defence force called "The Twelve", which consist of this many mounted patrols that rotate in a tenday cycle. If necessary, the town can rally together a well-armed militia of fifty rapidly and three hundred in a day or two by calling on allies in the area.
Industry & Trade
The major export here is leatherworks. Other than that, its main income is from those travelling through who might need supplies, guards, horses and more. It is also a not insignificant tradepost in its own right.
History
Over the centuries, it was the assembly point for human armies in response to the orc hordes from the mountains in the north along the Surbrin.
During a Greengrass festival in about two decades ago, Triboar was assaulted by a group of githyanki that landed in the village with their astral brig. The true reason for their sudden appearance was to deal with an elder brain that lived underneath the village. Both the githyanki and the illithid were ultimately defeated by a group of adventurers.
