Aethrea

Aethrea is the centre of the Church of the Eightfold Way and the provincial capital of Altea.
Aethrea is a city with an ancient history. It was one of the leading cities of the Regime, and later the capital of the Talahaean Domain. Rich in classical High Elven architecture and a masterpiece of urban planning, the Cult of Magic occupied it as their cult centre during the Lasarate, and since the War of Hubris it has become the capital of the Province and the Sacred Republic, and also capital of the Church Octaval. It has grown exponentially over the last century, with newer construction rolling out from the ancient walls to almost triple the size of the city.
At the heart of Aethrea, the Sacred Precinct is a walled city-within-a-city housing the grand temples of the eight cults, as well as the Convocation Hall and the magnificent Palace of the Regents. Alongside the Sacred Precinct, the Silver Quarter houses the Halls of the Consulate and Assembly, as well as the Magisterial Palace and the homes of many leading political and religious figures of the Republic.
