Horn Perilous

The Horn Perilous is a promontory jutting out below the Bay of Fishers. To the north, the warm, auroral currents passing through the Jagged Teeth spiral into the maelstrom known as the Maw, before slamming into the greater part of the auroral currents which pass by the Teeth to rip around the horn in a broad and terrifyingly swift current. Navigating close to the horn is hazardous, but can cut days off the time taken to navigate around these currents, requiring a substantial loop to the east, then the south, before coming back up into the crook of the horn.
