Directional terms

Navigation on Aidonia is generally relative to specific locations. Popularized by sailors who brave the journey between Adis and Phicen by sea, dawnward and duskward are directional terms; they are somewhat similar to east and west, but rather than one consistently indicating clockwise or counterclockwise around the planet, both are relative to the centermost points of the Dawn and Dusk Regions.
One of the cities that falls along the Dusk Region's centermost point is the Vriddasan city of Nautha; were someone to journey from Phicen to Vriddasa and then travel towards Nautha, they would be considered to be heading duskward. However, someone travelling from Adis to Vriddasa and towards Nautha would also be considered to be heading duskward since they too are heading towards the center of the Dusk Region. Were either of those people to continue travelling past Nautha and towards the opposite end of Vriddasa that they started on, they would no longer be going duskward, and would instead be travelling dawnward as soon as they exited Nautha.
