Fey Realm Faults

Spooktober Prompt: Spirit(ed)
Fey realm faults function much like the faults between tectonic plates; they can move and shift, some slowly and regularly, others sharp and sudden. The main difference between the two is that getting caught up in the movement of a fey realm fault will mean being spirited away to the fey realm, often unable to return the way you arrived.
Manifestation
The faults are not nearly as flashy as most forms of teleportation magic; they give off very little light, no more than one or two tealight's worth, and are translucent, tinted in any number of colors, both comprehensible to the human eye and not. They can come in a number of shapes and sizes but are most often long ovals, five feet tall and ten feet long, and flat as a sheet of paper.
A fault can also be detected by sound if it isn't yet visible. It is not especially loud, but is said to sound like the taste of honey coating the tongue, spreading to the teeth, cheeks, and back of the throat as it is approached.
Localization
Fey realm faults have been rumored to occasionally appear in a number of locations, but are most known for their constant presence within the borders of the O'Rauven Wildlands.
