Ghouls are powerful rotting undead incarnations of gluttony and greed. perpetually hungry for the flesh of living they are mostly found on battlefields, or cemetaries where the dead have been buried in unconsecrated ground.
Although rumors of foul magics being used to force Ghouls to commune with the dead also circulate. If true, these creatures are bound by powerful glyph wards and runes that are inscribed across the walls and floors to a central point where a fresh living being is bound as reward for the conversation.
Ghouls attack with a raw mindless fury against the living. Always hungry it is not uncommon for them to stop attacking, and feast upon a freshly fallen foe.
Living beings bitten, and clawed by Ghouls have developed Paralysis; however, Elves are either immune or more resistant.
