Blessed of the Eternal

A man calling himself The Emissary came down from the Shatterforge Mountains claiming to have been granted an audience with the divine. During this meeting, he was charged to spread the teachings among the populace and to bestow her gifts upon the faithful. Among these gifts was the promise of life eternal. Those who saw him reported him to be a tall human of middle-age and slight build but that he claimed to have lived in the mountains communing with the divine for over a hundred years before being sent to find others. As his influence grew among the small villages and hamlets, the Emissary began selecting his most devout followers to become messengers and each in turn were sent out to spread the Blessings of the Eternal across the Tempest Coast. Stories are told of the Blessed using their gifts to save villages from drought and plague. Some even claim to have returned the recently deceased from the Soul Shepherd's flock and restored their health entirely.
