Lovers' Bond
After decades of happiness with her human partner, the elven Archmage Maeraddyth Trisjor feared the inevitable fate of such relationships and swore she would not simply watch her beloved age and die. After many years of research and toil, Maeraddyth discovered a means for her to truly share her life with her spouse. The archmage imbued a set of intertwining rings with an enchantment for binding the life essences of two creatures. On their anniversary, she presented the rings by first placing the pair upon her finger, removing one, and then placing it on the finger of her lover. Upon completion of this ritual, the two were bonded. Her once aged partner was rejuvenated such that the pair looked to be of the same age and are thought to have lived out their lives together.
This artifact resembles a silver ring intricately carved with intertwining vines. Closer inspection reveals that the ring can be separated into two single vine rings. The rings have the power to link the lives of two humanoids such that they will age together. The bond is created by first placing the entwined rings on one's finger and then placing one of them on the finger of the target. Once this has been done, the target creature will gain the lifespan of the presenter along with its aging characteristics. Should the rings be removed, the target will revert to its natural age.
