Fey Bear
While spirits of female fey in Feywild that have passed, and were warriors in life, typically become spriggans, the warrior of the male fey can become the feared fey bear, a creature far larger than any bear, that is charged with the protection of fey in forests from those that would harm them. The eldest and most powerful of these bears can reach up to 30ft in height, and have long antlers protruding from their head, typically engraved with sylvan symbols. Much like many other fey, fey bears change their fur colour depending on the season, turning green in spring, orange in summer, brown in autumn and white in winter.
Many are unsure as to whether fey bears remember their past lives, but they do have the capability to understand sylvan and elvish, even if they cannot converse. Fey bears also do not typically attack fey, only stepping in if non-fey are harming the forests they dwell in, or if a corrupted fey has been sited. Though rare, some fey bears are kept by archfey as person protectors, due to their power, and naturally have an affinity to the eight archfey of Feywild.
