Martéan
Still spoken by those of The Martéan Empire, Martian is not too dissimilar to common (the native language of Alderhardt which had spread across The Continent as its main language), using the same basic script, with slightly differing letters in its alphabet. For those familiar with many differing languages, or those that are considered intellectuals, it would not be difficult to read the language, but would be much harder to actually converse using the language, due to greatly different pronunciation with different letters.
The languages has begun to spread around the Continent, due to the expansion of the Empire in the Continent, with many of the natives being forced to learn the language after their territory was captured. In the last two hundred or so years, it has also slowly become a language more widely taught in many regions of the Continent, with ambassador and such learning the language to better appease the aggressive Martéan Empire.
