Port Dawnfall

The only port town in Knaeva, Port Dawnfall acts as the trade hub of the newly founded country. Although being called a port town, Dawnfall is actually built into a wide river, near its mouth, where it then enters the ocean. Because it is built on a river, much of the town is made from wood, built upon a platform that is held up by hundred of large stilts that are stuck into the river bed. Although the town itself is quite small because of this, with expansion occurring on land, it has its advantages, mainly allowing more ships to dock at the town, as the majority of it is next to water. There are also gaps in the platform, where smaller boats are able to go into the town, essentially acting as the towns main form as transport, with horses and carriages being out of the question. Basically put, smaller streams of water in gaps of the platform act as the roads of the town, with almost every residence own a boat of some kind.
