Still Bloods and the Feral Undead

If you were to boil down vampires into two, easily discernible types, you would have Still Bloods and the Feral Undead. There are further categories within these two types, such as Luman Higher Vampires fitting into Still Bloods and ghouls fitting into the Feral Undead category.
Still Bloods
If you were to ask most people in The Continent what they imagine when they think of vampires, they would, most likely, have an image of a Still Blood in their mind. Still Bloods have their name based on the fact that the blood in their veins is still, and they have to drink blood to circulate their blood to keep them alive. Technically speaking, Still Bloods are not undead, though they are not quite living either. They exist in a strange middle ground, where it is almost impossible to properly classify them.   Still Blood vampires maintain the form that they once had in their 'mortal' life for the most part. Depending on how 'pure' the blood is (i.e how diluted the blood has been from the Bloodwells) the vampire may be granted certain abilities, such as shape shifitng. Typically speaking, the shared abilities and features Still Bloods have, form the weakest of the lesser vampires to the most powerful of higher vampires, are: superior darkvision, sunlight sensitivity, indefinite life span and lengthened teeth to form fangs.    Feral Undead   The Feral Undead, more often than not, are considered monsters, and many do not call them vampires initially, until they properly understand the classification. Simply speaking, Feral Undeads are formed when a vampire passes on its blood to another, but their body rejects it, transforming them into a undead monster, hungering eternally for mortal flesh. Unlike Still Bloods, there is no problem categorising them. The blood of a vampire will have killed the body, making them, as the name implies, true undead.   There are many example of monsters that are Feral Undead. Such monster include ghouls and ghasts, which often lurk around areas tainted by the smell of death, hoping to find flesh to consume. Feral Undead hunger for the blood of Still Bloods the most, often following the scent of higher vampires the most. This has lead to many a Feral Undead following a higher vampire, as the vampire will feed them their blood, provided it does not kill them, and the Feral Undead, being more animalistic than ever before, will fight for the higher vampire.    Gargoyles, technically speaking, are similar to Feral Undead, being constructs made from a Higher Vampire's blood, though many hesitate to categorise them into this group, due to being constructs and being far less feral than others placed within this category.
