Taoiseach

The taoiseach is the leader of a sept of Aodh tribes.

Qualifications

Chosen by noble warrior families of the clans of Kinneigh Sept. May be deposed if clans are unhappy with their rule.

Requirements

Must be a member of an Aodhan noble family, as well as an elite warrior. Members of other species can become Aodhan clan members.

Appointment

A draoi ceremony.

Duties

Keep peace between clans, pass judgements on conflicts between clans or communities, maintain a group of elite warriors for defense, and maintain an economy.

Collect taxes, rank of nobility, lead sept.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Can be deposed from this position based on poor performance in the eyes of the noble families.

History

This title was formerly used in the distant past when the Aodh had a permanent home. After defeating the Aos Si, the Aodh clans resurrected the title, though there is confusion as to what the position actually entails.
