Overview
The Azralath Sworn are a subset of elite demon warriors that are bound to the sword Azralath. During the great conflict "The Purge of Infernal Shadows" that sealed Azralath, the surviving Azralath Sworn escaped to the shadows awaiting for the return of the wielder of Azralath to unite once more.
Traits and Features
These warriors have been trained to survive on many types of worlds, learning to adapt to the societal norms to hide their presence. The take orders only from the wielder of Azralath and are tasked with the most critical missions.
In order to truly be the elite force of the shadows, these demons have had to sever their ties to their home planes. Once severed from their demonic connection they become untracable using standard demon tracking methods, both from their overlords and enemies. This makes them incredibly dangerous and is the primary reason that they only answer the call of Azralath.
Current Presence
After decades of hiding the demons have become even more powerful in the communities they reside in. Some of them run crime circles, keeping intelligence on the locals while also having secretive criminal forces at their disposal. Others have wormed their way into nobleship, poisoning the cities from the top. Once every decade all of the Azralath Sworn have a ritual meeting to continue building upon their plans to find Azralath and release it once more. By meeting so rarely and not commuicating outside of the meetings finding them becomes that much more difficult.
Once they have a strong enough control in their region they plan to tighten their hold on the kingdoms and start running operations to locate enemy survivors from their great conflict. They will use the brutalest forms of demonic torture, turning these old soldiers into minions of their own, a truly awful demise for those that were once so revered.
