Evanescet Caelum festival
The Evanescet Caelum festival is celebrated far and wide across Akara to both celebrate and appease Nalena Goddess of the Sky. Every two years or so the three moons of Akara are eclipsed in shadow leaving the sky dark, so people gather in candlelight celebrating the sky goddess so she brings the moons back and asl that she may not bring any natural disasters.
Execution
The festival has many activities that people participate in throughout the night. There are many songs and shows dedicated to Nalena Goddess of the Sky but the most popular among them is the dance of light. A choreographed dance where dancers have candles that start unlit but as it goes on are lit one by one signifying the daylight the sky goddess brings and go out one by one signifying the night she brings. Artists usually take this time to paint beautiful skyscapes and leave them just out of their houses, fresh off the easel and littered throughout cities or towns. There is also a section of the festival dedicated to scientists as the Nalena is also known for being the goddess of knowledge as well. During the festival scientists and knowledge seekers show off their latest discoveries to the greater public.
Participants
Everyone is welcome to participate in activities for the festival and many Lunar Angels make their way to the festivals to join in the celebration. It is rumored that the sky goddess herself comes down in human form to see the festivals, but whether or not Nalena Goddess of the Sky actually comes to Akara remains a mystery.
Observance
The festival takes place every couple of years when all three of Akara's moons, Lucet, Fengari, and Athereas, are all eclipsed in shadow.
