Skal Angels

The Skal Angels work under Katsuna Goddess of Spirits often wearing armor out of human bone and protecting spirits on their journey to the afterlife. They often have stark black wings and are considered to be reapers by the mortals of Akara.

Common Etiquette rules

Skal angels, in particular, greet each other with a hearty forearm grip.

Common Dress code

All of the Skal wear Ivory armor when fighting but they wear light grey clothes of any design when not "on duty" so to speak.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

The skal often observe Balance day while amongst mortals and gather offerings to deliver to souls residing in the proven fields.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Beauty is a moot point to the Skal and they often wear ivory masks that cover most of their face. However, their usually large black wings are highly regarded by other angels.

Gender Ideals

Angels, in general, do not have a concept of gender.

Courtship Ideals

Courting amongst angels is very different than courting amongst mortals. Angels show their affection often through their wings since that is the main source of their beauty ideals. There are elaborate dances based around an angel's wings that signal courtship and are performed at different stages of a relationship.

Relationship Ideals

While Angels do not reproduce with each other they are often in relationships with one another simply for company and companionship. Relationships with mortal species are often considered to be flings even if it lasts the mortal's entire life, as angels live to be much much older. No angel understands the fleeting time of mortals better than the Skal who protect their souls in the afterlife.
