The Elcana Highland
It is believed that when the gods first came to Akara the land was barren and they brought wonderous sights to the world. Including the Elcana Highland, the tallest mountain in all of Akara. It is said that Nalena Goddess of the Sky and Cedis the God of Land were incredibly in love despite their distance, that they would meet in horizons and dance, leading to the beauty found where the land and sky met. However, Cedis has been known to be impatient and he wanted to see Nalena outside of a horizon, where he was so he created the largest mountain reaching well into the sky so he could see her whenever he wanted. He reached up to the sky and she reached down to the land and they danced, Nalena brought clouds and colorful lights stretching across the sky and Cedis brought mountain after mountain to catch his step mid-air as they spun. When they finished their dance they looked back and saw the highlands and the lights and the beauty they brought. They walked back to Elcana and sat looking at the beauty their love brought to the world and decided to come back every year to celebrate their love.
