Spellstorms are churning mases of wild arcane energy that have ravaged the Runian desert  since the birth of arcana at the end of the Twilight war. the buffeting winds of the spell storms pick up the natural Prismeccence dust turning into a huge dust storm, burst of chaotic elemental energy jump through the arcane clouds and crystalizes the Prismeccence as it hits the crystal dunes.
