Moresos
Moresos is the last standing city of the Limiros, the once great tiefdom now sundered to the archipelago called Limiore. Amidst the many principalities of the islands, Moresos is lead by the Baron family. Both the city's leaders and her people take great pride in being the only city on the surface of Dohralun to have survived the Blood War.
Pride's Legacy
Thousands of years ago, in an era lost to time, the city is known to have been founded as one of the fortified cities by the infernal nobility, as Limiros was settled as the domain of the devil. Of all the many names it could have been given by the Archdukes of Hell, "The Bastion of Pride" passes down until this day.
When the Blood War began with the Sundering, many of the Tiefdom's cities were destroyed in the quakes of the earth and maw of the sea. Moresos was isolated to a small island on its own, barely a plot of farmland beyond the city walls. Even when the Tiefdom collapsed to the Feylinic Elves, the Baron of Moresos refused to retreat. The city was defended fiercely through many battles, and though it was not unbreakable, it was unquenchable. Any citizen of Moresos will proudly tell you the city was never occupied for more than a year and a day before the conquerers were forced out. Soon, because of it's defensible position and vigilant army, who became more experienced with each attack, the city became grounds no faction would attack. It was a small island, no longer with any ties to the major players of the Blood War. Thus, Pride's Legacy stand unbroken
The Baron Family
The Baron family would have had an infernal name before the Blood War. However, during the great conflict, they cut ties with the courts of hell, and shed their name as well. What the Barons were is lost to history. Now, they are purely the Baron family, prideful rulers of Moresos. While Tiefling blood runs beneath their skin, they file their horns as a sign of rejection towards the infernal courts.
Once they were the feudal rulers of the city, as their name would suggest. However since 454, Sepokos II formed a council of 500 representatives from the city. Because of the cities size, the council is capable of representing a little less than a 100 people with each counciler. Now, the Barons legally only have the figure-head role of leading the council's meetings, though they still maintain respect and wealth, and have a lot of influence nonetheless.
Bejevel VII
Currently Lady Bejevel Baron VII currently helms the Council as Chancellor. She is regarded to be a wise leader of the island city. She worries for her younger brother Liokos, whose contacts have become sparse as the years have gone by.
Liokos
Liokos Baron currently resides in Thyra as a member of the Dorumat Society. Despite being the Baron heir, his loyalties sway towards the Society. He reveres Lord General Gatheos Akrena, another society member, and supports the his agendas.
Relics of the Past
The inner wards of Moresos are some of the only windows sages have into the architecture from before the Blood War. The vaults of the Auditorium and the Baron manor contain scrolls, texts, and pictographic depictions of many eras long past.
