Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Giants are generally larger and stronger than humans, and they may have superior vision and hearing due to their size. They may also have acute senses of smell and taste, which could help them locate food and detect threats.
Many giants are able to see in the dark, thanks to their sensitive eyes and their ability to adjust to low light conditions. They may also have a heightened sense of touch, which could help them navigate rough terrain and detect subtle changes in their environment.
Some giants do also have extrasensory abilities, such as the ability to sense the presence of other creatures or the ability to predict future events. These abilities are rare, however, and are generally only found in the most powerful and advanced giants.
Frost, Fire, Cloud and Storm Giants also possess the ability to shrink themselves down to appear human. They have runic tattoos across their arms to signify their change and can hold this form for however long they need it but do heavily sacrifice their combat capabilities when doing so.
Civilization and Culture
History
One of the most significant events in giant history was the alliance between the storm giants and the dwarves. These two races had always been on good terms, but during a time of great need, the storm giants and dwarves entered into a formal alliance and shared resources in order to survive. This cooperation allowed both races to thrive, and the two groups maintained a strong relationship for many years.
Another significant event in giant history was the construction of a city in the skies by the cloud giants. These giants were known for their love of beauty and luxury, and they sought to create a city that would reflect these values. The city, known as the Celestial Spire, was said to be a marvel of engineering and magic, and it was a source of great pride for the cloud giants.
One of the darkest moments in giant history was the War between Dragons and Giants, known as Loftstríð. This conflict arose when a group of dragons killed several giants and took control of the ancient Wells of Mayfalls Keep. The giants, outraged at this act of aggression, declared war on the dragons. The conflict raged on for over two hundred years, causing great destruction and loss of life on both sides.
In the end, the All-Father Alfaðir intervened, offering to play a game of Dragonchess with Zurteus, the leader of the dragons. The outcome of the game is unknown, but it is believed that the giants emerged victorious, as they were able to maintain control over Mayfalls Keep and the surrounding territory.
Despite their many accomplishments, the giants eventually met with a sudden and mysterious disappearance. The exact cause of this disappearance is unknown, but it is thought to be related to a great cataclysm that shook the very foundations of the world. The giants were never seen again, and their legacy has been shrouded in mystery and myth.
