Razonath - The Fallen

Razonath was an Aasimar warlord and tyrant who fell when he discovered that he was manipulated by demons to be the sole survivor of a civil war. He became a demon himself after being cursed.

Personal history

More than 1000 years ago, Razonath (back then known as Remial) was a warlord on the Celestial Plane of Talaris. He was outmaneuvered by opposing warlords and stumbled upon an ancient demon-summoning chamber. He sacrificed his last remaining soldiers to bring forth the power of demons and call for victory, however, the demons saw the genuine desire in his heart and killed his own family along with his enemies which triggered the War of Nightmares. His descent into Demon Power began while he was exiled from his plane after finally realizing life's futility and all his ambitions. After his descent, he began planning to conquer other planes.
Eventually, he went to Akeroth at the behest of the One Below All and acquired the powerful twin blades known as Blight & Darkness but it cursed him and turned him into a demon-celestial hybrid. In his moments of despair, he was captured by the Angels of Talaris and placed before the High Judge for his sacrilege.
Before he knew what was happening, Varmiel, Talaris's self-appointed protector, intercepted him and fused a small gem into his forehead. This gem bound his power, trapping him on the plane, while also stripping him of what power he still possessed. When he could finally rise from the ground, the bones in his shoulders crumbled. His wings were useless and they fell off a few days later. For trapping him, and most of all, for making him small and weak, he vowed revenge on the plane and its inhabitants.
Razonath studied within the prisons of Talaris for centuries. He came to know their magic better than anyone, except Varmiel herself. And when a traveler would come to his place, he would make a point of making introductions. There were dozens over countless years. And sure enough, a visiting mortal finally took his lure. The proud warrior struck him down and extracted the gem to be used in a ritual to save his ally. Thus Razonath regained his strength and could grow demonic wings.
